About

We are a non-political umbrella group bringing together local community organisations, businesses and residents, in the North Lambeth area between Lambeth Road, Kennington .Park Road, Camberwell New Road, Harleyford Road and the river Thames (see map).

We hold public meetings for everyone in the community about proposals for our area and enable our member organisations to act together for the benefit of the community. Expressing Forum views about the local environment, amenity, public safety and local services, we provide the Council, health services, police and other public bodies with an opportunity to engage, listen and involve us.

Maureen Johnston

Maureen Johnston, loves living in the neighbourhood, so stayed for more than 30 years. Wants everyone to feel relaxed, safe and enjoy living and working here and works to ensure they do so.

Ian Adams

have lived happily in Kennington for some 45 years and have been active in local affairs for 30 of them.� As Chairman of the Manor of Kennington Residents' Association I value my membership of the KOV Forum for providing friendly contact with other local groups and helping to define and meet the important needs of the neighbourhood.

Chris Cossey

I have lived in Kennington for nearly 50 years and have been a KOV Board member since it started. My special interests are: community politics, town planning, heritage, local history, parks, libraries and public amenity. I have welcomed the KOV Forum for its great opportunity for separate groups to work together.

Chrys Loizou

I’m a founding member and secretary of Vauxhall Gardens Estate Residents & Tenants Association (VGERTA) that represents more than 2,000 residents. I’m actively involved in many community projects including ongoing efforts for reviving the Glasshouse Walk Playground adjacent to Pleasure Gardens.  Previously I served on the board of the Waterloo Community Regeneration Trust. I’m a Project Manager and a Consultant Civil Engineer with over 10 years experience, currently working on a high profile transport project which will be completed before the London 2012 Olympics My diverse project and community regeneration experience will benefit KOV enormously.
